You can enjoy maximum natural light, sunshine, shade or diffused lighting by adjusting the angle of louvres to create variable lighting environments. On dull cloudy and even light rainy days your Vergola louvres can be orientated to allow natural light into your home.
Louvre Rain Protection
You will keep dry outdoors due to Vergola's unique interlocking louvre design that can be fully closed, making your Vergola rainproof in general weather conditions. Your outdoor furniture will last longer and remain pristine whilst protected from repeated rain exposure.
Louvre Air Flow Control
The Vergola louvre aerofoil design allows airflow to be controlled in both wet and dry weather allowing cooling breezes in summer and deflecting chillier wind on colder days.
Louvre Temperature Control
Because of its unique double-skin louvre design the Vergola provides thermal insulation (3W/m^2K). This allows you to control the temperature beneath your Vergola down to ambient. If the full sun is too hot to sit under simply close the louvres partially until the temperature suits your requirements. In winter you can allow the sun in to warm your home and then in summer screen it out to keep you cooler and protect your drapes, carpets and furnishings from the sunlight. This will help reduce your energy bills.
Auto-Rain Sensor Option
Even when you are not there your outdoor room or patio will always stay dry due to Vergola's state of the art rain sensor that automatically closes the louvres when it begins to rain. When the rain stops the system will reopen your louvres to the previous position. Discuss the benefits of this option with your local distributor.
Framework & Rain Gutters
The Vergola surround framework can be constructed from timber, steel, aluminium or any other building material that complies with your local building codes. Colours and styles can be individually chosen by you to integrate with and enhance your home to make Vergola an investment in better living. The Vergola Roofing System comes with specially designed gutters fitted along the inside perimeter of the framework to collect rainwater which is conveyed by downpipes into the storm water system
Louvre Colours
Vergola louvres are manufactured in Titania (off-white). Titania not only assists the projection of light when required but also compliments the louvre's clean aerodynamic lines. To provide you with the opportunity to establish a complimentary colour style with your own architecture or simply to enable you to create an outstanding fashionable area in your home you have the option of powder coating your louvres to any colour in the powder coat range. Please discuss any special colour requirements with your Vergola Distributor.
Installation
Vergola offers a full installation service and we can advise you how the Vergola Opening Roofing System may be fitted within your existing structure or complement a future home. Vergola can be installed by our authorised distributors, your own builder or by yourself (DIY Kits)
Specifications
Louvres are 200 millimetres in width and can span up to 3.6 metres in length. Louvres are manufactured in standard lengths 2.1 metres, 2.3 metres, 2.7 metres, 3.0 metres and 3.6 metres. Where necessary louvres can be cut to specific lengths as required. Tested to AS11702, Vergola can withstand cyclonic conditions
A single 12 Volt DC motor powered by battery and 220 V trickle charger operates up to 30 louvres. The louvres operate through 150 degrees and which ever way they are orientated they will provide either maximum sun or shade. The structural weight of the louvres range from 10 to 16.5 Kgs/M^2
